Hachiko Talks About Pembroke Welsh Corgi
I’m Hachiko, and on my website where I introduce dog breeds, today it’s time for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Small legs, big heart—and always a smile.
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi comes from Wales, where it was bred as a herding dog. Yes, those little legs were chasing cattle! Don’t let their size fool you. These dogs are fast, smart, and full of determination.
They’re best known for their long bodies, short legs, upright ears, and that happy face. Their coat is thick and weather resistant, often red, sable, fawn, or black and tan with white markings.
Corgis are intelligent and eager to please. They learn quickly and enjoy games, training, and problem solving. But they also need plenty of exercise daily walks, playtime, and mental challenges to keep them happy and healthy.
Health wise, Pembrokes are generally strong but can face back problems due to their long spine. It’s important to keep their weight in check and avoid too much jumping from heights. A good diet, exercise, and regular vet visits will help them stay well.
Corgi litters usually have 6 to 8 pups. The puppies are alert and social right from the start. They love being part of family life and will follow you everywhere.
If you want a cheerful, loyal, and clever companion who brings energy and joy to your home, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an excellent choice. Small in size, big in personality.
