Hachiko Talks About Pekingese
The Pekingese, sometimes called the “Lion Dog,” comes from ancient China, where they were treasured by royalty. They may be small in size, but they have a big heart and an even bigger personality! Proud, loyal, and very affectionate with their family, Pekingese are known for their confidence and charming presence.

Their long, flowing coat gives them a majestic look but it also means they need regular grooming. Daily brushing is important to prevent tangles and mats, and regular baths help keep their beautiful coat in top condition.

Pekingese should be fed high quality dog food suited to small breeds. Because they are not overly active dogs, it’s important to monitor their portions to prevent weight gain. Fresh, clean water should always be available.

This breed enjoys gentle walks and short play sessions, but they are also very happy to relax at home with their loved ones.

Pekingese typically have small litters usually around 2 to 4 puppies and the mothers are very protective and loving.
