If You Understand Me, I Might Never Bite
I’m Hachiko. A dog known for loyalty and patience. But not all dogs wait quietly like I did. Some growl, some show teeth, and yes, some even bite. But please… don’t judge them so quickly. Because no dog attacks without reason.

Sometimes, we are afraid. A sudden noise, a fast movement, or a raised hand it all feels like danger to us. If we can’t run, we protect ourselves.

Sometimes, we’re guarding our home. A gate, a bowl, a yard these are our worlds. When a stranger crosses into that world, we react. First we warn. Then, if ignored… we may attack.

If we’re in pain, even a gentle touch can feel like a threat. A dog with an injury or sickness may bite not from hate, but from hurt.

Wounds of the past don’t always bleed they stay hidden, deep inside. A dog once chained, beaten, and starved may not see love as a gift, but as a trick. To them, even a kind touch can echo old suffering.

And some dogs have never met the world. They were never socialized. A child’s giggle, another dog’s bark, a rolling bike it's all too much. Overwhelmed and afraid, fear becomes teeth.

What Should You Do If a Dog Attacks?
If you’re ever faced with a possible attack, remember:

Don’t run. Running triggers our instinct to chase. You become prey.

Don’t stare. Direct eye contact feels like a challenge. Look slightly away.

Speak calmly. Say things like “No” or “Go” in a steady, calm tone. Don’t scream.

Don’t raise your arms or swing. Keep your arms by your sides. Raised hands feel like a threat.

Back away slowly. Do not turn your back. Move away without sudden movement.

Use an object as a barrier. A bag, coat, or umbrella between you and the dog can help.

If you fall, curl up. Protect your neck and head. Stay still. That’s a signal we understand submission, not fight.

Final Words from Hachiko
I’m Hachiko. I waited with love. But please try to understand my fellow dogs, too. Behind every bite, there is usually fear, pain, or a history of not being heard.

If you understand… maybe we won’t have to bite at all.

Hachiko’s Note
If a dog ever bites you no matter how small the wound seems go to a hospital immediately. Even friendly dogs can carry rabies if they haven't been vaccinated. Do not wait. Clean the wound, and get medical help.

And if you’re a dog owner, please: get your dog vaccinated regularly. It keeps us all safe humans and dogs alike.
