Hachiko Talks About Bulldog
On my website where I introduce dogs, today it’s time for a breed that’s impossible to mistake: the Bulldog. Yes, it’s me, Hachiko, and I have to say—though we are very different kinds of dogs, I admire the Bulldog’s spirit.

Bulldogs come from England. A long time ago, they were bred for bull-baiting—hence the name. But today, those rough days are far behind. Modern Bulldogs are gentle, loyal, and loving companions.

They have a stocky build, short legs, and that famous wrinkled face with a big, friendly smile. Don’t be fooled by their slow walk—they can be surprisingly stubborn and determined when they want to be.

Bulldogs love being close to their humans. They’re calm, affectionate, and great with children. They don’t need as much exercise as some breeds, but daily walks and playtime are important to keep them healthy and happy.

Their short coat is easy to care for, but those wrinkles need a little extra attention keeping them clean and dry prevents skin problems.

Health wise, Bulldogs can have some challenges. Breathing issues (because of their flat faces), hip problems, and heat sensitivity are common. That’s why it’s important to avoid too much exercise in hot weather and always provide a cool place to rest. A high quality diet helps keep their weight in check, which is key for their overall health.

Bulldog litters usually have 4 to 5 puppies. The little ones are round, wrinkly, and full of personality right from the start.

If you want a relaxed, loving companion who’ll be happy to snooze by your side and offer unconditional affection, the Bulldog might be just what you’re looking for. They may not run fast, but they win hearts everywhere they go.
