Hachiko Talks About the Bernese Mountain Dog
I’m Hachiko, and today I want to tell you about a dog who carries warmth in its heart and snow on its fur the Bernese Mountain Dog.

Born in the cold hills of Switzerland, Bernese Mountain Dogs were once farm workers: pulling carts, herding cattle, guarding families. But they’ve always been more than muscle. They’ve been companions. Loyal, patient, and kind.

Berners are large and striking. Their thick tri color coat black, white, and rust is instantly recognizable. Their deep, gentle eyes speak of calm and devotion.

Despite their size, they are gentle giants. They form strong bonds with their families and love being close to their people. Berners are famously good with children, often acting like a furry older sibling watchful, playful, protective.

They are smart and eager to please, which makes training rewarding. But because they grow fast and big, early socialization and consistent guidance are key.

Bernese Mountain Dogs need space and cool weather they were made for mountains, not apartments. They love long walks, moderate play, and just being near the ones they trust.

Health wise, their large size makes them prone to hip and elbow dysplasia, bloat, and certain cancers. Their lifespan is shorter than many breeds, but their love fills every year with meaning.

Litters usually have 6 to 9 puppies soft, fluffy, and full of heart.

Today, I, Hachiko, had the joy of introducing this majestic and kind hearted worker a dog whose strength is quiet, and whose love is loud.
